First blog

Hello, my name is Michael and I really don't understand blogging. I have a lot of questions for the person who invented this, even though it seems real easy to use. Since I'm not good with words, while typing this i am  going to pretend i am. Is blogging like an online diary for everyone to see and comment on? I will try to make the best of it and have better blogs about things people would actually want to read about. I need some clarification on what the word "blog" means.

    Michael,

    "Blog" is a blend of the words "web log." Think about it as a space for writing that is not only public and permanent but also personal in capturing your voice. You have complete freedom to write what only you can say. At the same time, you take responsibility for your words so that they reflect the best YOU!
